Sephora Play Unboxing (July)
Call me old fashioned but I’ve always loved receiving good ol’ snail mail. There’s something really exciting about getting unexpected letters and packages in the mail––especially subscription boxes. So when I heard Sephora was coming out with their own I IMMEDIATELY signed up! If you’re not aware Sephora has a subscription box that’s probably because it’s only available in certain states. If it’s not yet available in your area you can still sign up but you’ll automatically be put on the waitlist until notified.
This is my third unboxing and so far I like what I’m getting. When I signed up I had to fill out a profile with my hair, skin and makeup concerns and interests. I believe as of now everyone’s getting the same products but I’m not sure if that will be changing in the future.
This month’s theme was Effortless Summer so the box includes products that will ease your everyday on-the-go look. Each month you’ll receive a playbook in your box which is basically a poster showing you each of the products and tips on how to apply them.
This face cleanser by First Aid Beauty is meant to be gentle and completely free of chemicals, yet it fully removes dirt and makeup. I’ve used it the last couple of nights and I love how it doesn’t dry out my sensitive skin.
Yaasssss. I was so excited to get Ouai’s wave spray. I’ve been meaning to try out their products and now that I’m all about the wavy, undone hair for summer, this was the perfect sample.
I find that primer is essentially helpful when it comes to making my makeup last––especially with New York’s melting heat!!!
Believe it or not I’ve never actually tried the Beauty Blender. I have a knockoff makeup sponge that looks exactly the same, but I don’t know whether it works the same or not. This sponge isn’t really meant for applying makeup though. It’s actually meant to remove shine and absorb oil without ruining your makeup. Nice!
Every box always contains a fragrance sample, I actually really liked this scent. It’s floral and citrusy and perfect for summer.
Last thing in the box was this matte bronzer from Benefit. I have yet to try it but it looks very promising!
