Hair products I’m using to combat frizz this summer
Alas, it is summer in New York! But with the high summer temperatures also comes humidity and frizz. That’s the case for me at least. My hair’s always been sensitive to humidity, which I’ve learned not only occurs when there’s moisture in the air but also when hair is dry and lacks moisture. Lucky for me, I’ve come across a few hair products that are helping me defy humidity and attain smooth hair once and for all.
AVEDA SAP MOSS SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
Thanks to the relaunch of Aveda’s Sap Moss shampoo and conditioner, my hair’s been retaining moisture without feeling weighed down. As the name suggests, these shampoo and conditioner are formulated with sap and moss which help infuse hydration thus taming frizz. After my first use, my hair felt renewed with hydration, and my natural waves came through.
I’ve raved about Expensive before, and I'm about to do it again. I use this product about once a week for extra shine and softness. It claims to strengthen hair and add “prism-like shine,” which are all elements I look for in a miracle hair product.
OAUI ROSE HAIR & BODY OIL, AIR DRY FOAM
I’m not a big fan of hot tools in the summer. If anything I might use the straightener to style my hair a bit, but I try to stay away. On the other hand, I’ve been using the Ouai Air Dry Foam, which is infused with kale extract and helps keep strands smooth and enhances my natural wave pattern.
When I feel my hair needs an extra boost of hydration and shine, I like to slather on the Rose Hair and Body Oil. Not only does it maintain my locks soft and free of flyaways, but it also smells divine!
R&CO MOON LANDNG ANTI-HUMIDITY SPRAY
As a final step, I spray R&Co’s anti-humidity spray, Moon Landing, to seal the deal. This product keeps my hair from poofing and best of all, it doesn’t harden my strands. It’s super lightweight and leaves my hair feeling free of humidity.
