A Jade Face Roller, Miracle Hair Product & More March Faves
Saving you the intro and getting right to it.
I caved into the facial roller hype and bought me the jade roller from Herbivore. It’s only been about a month, but I like to take a few minutes in the evening or on weekend mornings to sit on the couch and roll away. Not only is it soothing and de-stressing, but physically it's supposed to improve elasticity, ease facial muscle tension and reduce the appearance of puffiness. I can’t say I’ve noticed a major difference there yet, but only time will tell.
I try to drink a few bottles of water a day which makes me run to the bathroom every ten minutes which then makes me wash my hands and ultimately results in dryness. So I like to carry a mini hand cream or lotion at all times. This one from La Mer is a perfect size for carrying in my purse and also smells delightful.
Blush is one of my favorite makeup products for its gift of making me look alive instantly. I tend to lean towards creme blush for a couple of reasons: I only need my finger to apply, and it’s more suitable for dry skin. It’s my first time trying anything Honest Beauty, but this Crème Cheek Blush is already a winner. This one is called Peony Pink which as the name suggests is a pretty shade of pink – perfect for a natural-looking everyday flush.
I’ve gone through something between four-five Balm Dotcoms and will probably go through a few more until I discover a new favorite. I love their coconut-scented balm as well as Birthday Cake, which has a hint of teeny tiny barely-noticeable sparkles.
My hair had felt extra dull and shine-free since January, but I just discovered IGK’s Expensive topcoat and only after one use, I’m already not planning on going back! This is just what I was looking for as my hair was lacking a je ne sais quoi touch. According to their website, the product description reads, “Like a topcoat for nails, this UV protecting glaze instantly forms to hair, creating a transparent, weightless shield that adds intense color depth and dimension and prism-like shine. Amla Oil nourishes, strengthens and softens hair after the wear of color treatments. Seals the cuticle to prevent color fading and damage from heat tools, leaving your hair looking as Expensive AF.” I figured they did a great job of explaining, so there you go!
On my 30th birthday, my friend gifted me this Milk Makeup glitter stick with a cute card that read “You’re never too old to wear glitter,” and I couldn’t agree more. Lately, I’ve been applying it on my lids for a sparkly yet subtle effect. I like to pair it with a colorful eyeliner, like this purple one from NYX Cosmetics for an extra dose of color.
