The Perfect White Trench Coat
About a month ago I made a poll in my Insta-stories on whether I should get this jacket or not. You see I’d suddenly felt the urge to find a patent jacket, so I took to Poshmark to search for one, and to my surprise, I came across this one. I was specifically looking for a black one, but something about this white one felt a little more interesting.
I like the jacket isn’t a patent but rather a glossy cotton, which gives it a nice crinkled texture similar to leather. I also really like the mock neck and that it comes with a long belt to cinch the waist. I’ve worn it with everything from denim to skirts, and as seen here, with a long sleeveless dress I wore to our rehearsal dinner a couple of years ago. I finished this look with a pair of leopard-print booties for a subtle take on the trend and my little Chanel bag, which was my birthday gift from JL this year.
Moral of this story/post: Sometimes you need to listen for what you want regardless of what others might tell you.
*Editor’s note: Not sure what’s going on with my facial expressions, but I hope you can look past them and enjoy this post!
