Current Beauty Faves - April
Welcome to another post on my current beauty faves! This time I’m keeping it short and sweet with only four beauty products I’ve been using and loving in the past few weeks.
Glossier Invisible Shield Sunscreen
Sunscreen is part of my morning skincare routine, so like all other beauty products, I’m always excited to try a new one. A few weeks ago I finished my Dr. Jart Every Sun Day Sun Fluid and because I’ve had zero complaints on all my Glossier purchases thus far I switched things up with Glossier’s Invisible Shield. My thoughts? I love it! It’s a clear gel-like formula that leaves zero white cast, greasy residue or gross sticky feeling. It doesn’t feel like I’m applying sunscreen–instead, it’s like I’m adding an extra layer of moisturizer or even face primer. Giving this one a thumbs up!
Glossier Generation G in Leo
Another Glossier product I’ve been reaching for literally everyday is their Generation G lipstick. It’s a sheer matte formula that gives me just-right pigment and makes my lips look natural, but better. It’s so easy to apply (feels like I’m doing chapstick) that it’s become my daily go-to. It’s buildable color that somehow still looks natural and best of all–doesn’t dry out my lips!
Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream
I’m pretty sure I’ve found my holy grail when it comes to face moisturizer. This lightweight face cream saved me during peak winter when my face was so dry it was peeling. Eek–I know! I desperately needed something extra moisturizing, and when I saw this on sale at Sephora (I think it was part of their Weekly Wow sales), after reading countless good reviews, I was sold!
Once I apply this, my skin feels soft and smooth and I’ve noticed it no longer gets dry throughout the day. I'm also happy I don’t need a lot of product to feel moisturized. This may not be on sale next time, but I still think it’s worth it!
A Complete Youth Preserve Eye Contour Cream
I was given a travel set from skincare brand, A Complete, at the Ricardo Seco show last season, and I finally decided to give the eye cream a go. I have to admit I was pretty surprised at how much I liked it. It claims to cover up dark circles and help reduce the appearance of eye bags, which is more of my problem area.
I can't say I've noticed a major difference with the eye bags, but I do feel like my under eye feels a little more plump than usual as well as nice and smooth.
