8 Cool-Girl Shops I Discovered on Instagram
As I endeavor to go further away from the fast fashion route, Instagram has become my go-to spot for finding cool new brands, designers, online vintage shops–you name it! Besides capturing our lives, the ‘gram has become a tool for connecting with things we’re passionate about, which for me reads fashion among other things.
Check out some of my favorite brands below!
LISA SAYS GAH
Lisa Says Gah is my go-to for discovering independent designers, cool sustainable brands and endless inspiration. Not only am I obsessed with the e-tailer’s modern yet vintage-y aesthetic, but I also love their quirky photography and weekly Muse Monday series where they feature smart, inspiring women who lead creative lives in style. Besides their own brand, LSG offers brands like Rachel Antonoff, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Ganni and many more!
First off, how cool are these lucite heels? Mirth sells some of the coolest vintage around. Though I haven’t purchased anything from their site (yet) I’m inspired by their styling, and I can’t get enough of their timeless yet so-now pieces.
I came across Article & through @aesthetics.anonymous who wore a really cute, printed dress from there a few months back. They’re based in Brooklyn (not too far from where I live!), and I look to them for contemporary designers and independent labels. I like their selections are unique and affordable–my leopard skirt from here was only $50!
SHOP GIRL LA
Shop Girl LA is a mother-daughter duo running an online vintage shop that offers a highly curated selection of vintage or previously-owned garments and home goods. Besides having an amazing eye for one-of-a-kind pieces, they also work to create made-to-order garments. Love their stuff!
Looking for a cute vintage bag? At Select LA you’ll find everything from unique beaded gems to wicker bags and even scarves.
Another mother-daughter twosome, Maison Cleo is not your average e-shop. As their website states, their garments are “handmade at home in the north of France,” and are only available once a week on Wednesdays. But you have to act quick as their designs sell fast! Everything on their site screams French-girl-cool and rest assured you’ll be getting a load of compliments when wearing their designs.
Lucia Zolea is unlike any other site I’ve shopped before. They offer a curated selection of high-end vintage and one-of-a-kind treasures for a highly covetable wardrobe. Plus, their photography always features the best lighting.
Heroine is a community-driven market where you can buy and sell vintage, read fashion articles, and interact with others who are just as crazy over fashion as yourself. You’ll find everything from vintage Dior to Fendi, and so much more.
Wearing Storets top, Uniqlo jacket, Evidnt denim skirt, Vince Booties, and Richer Poorer socks.
