It's that time again! You know, the time in which I like to share five things I loved in the past month, and why I loved them. If you're new to the blog I usually like to post these early in the following month, otherwise time will catch up and I'll completely forget.
That said, JL and I decided to stay in New York for the holidays so for once December was not a crazy month for me. Though I love to see my family and friends, sometimes it's nice to stay at my home away from home and relax or catch up on things I've been too damn busy to–like lie on the couch and watch Netflix, or finally sit down and enjoy my coloring book. You know, those kinds of things. Honestly it's just what I needed after planning a wedding. Sometimes you just need some time to recharge and come back even stronger.
Now that I've shared a bit about my December, here's five of my monthly favorites–stay tuned for next month's faves!
I'm not a fan of blow drying my hair–I've always preferred to let my hair air dry. But winters in New York basically force me to dry my hair as there's no way I will face the cold with wet hair. Lucky for me I received a Briogeo heat protectant in one of my Boxycharm boxes and I truly believe it's been saving my hair. It contains rosehip, argan, and coconut oils and it helps tame frizz aside from preventing split ends. Definitely a keeper!
Fashion never stops amazing me. Yellow is hardly ever a color that gets my attention, but lately it's been center stage in my color wheel. Hence why I had to get these Forever 21 mules, which by the way, I've never had anything similar to. I'm dying to wear them with a sick pair of socks. Stay tuned!
This month I not only made an upgrade to the iPhone 7 but to the iPhone 7 PLUS in rose gold. When the iPhone 6 plus first released I thought it was silly and who would ever want a phone that ridiculously big? But I guess I changed my mind because now I'm OBSESSED! Sometimes bigger is better.
Similar to the iPhone situation, I didn't care much for having an iWatch, but now that JL bought me one, I love it! It especially comes in handy when you can't have your phone out, or when you simply want to reply to a quick text or answer a call on the go without having to bust out your phone. It has a fitness and activity tracker, quick access to some of my favorite apps along with many other highlights. Oh! And let's not forget about its main feature, it tells the time!
Reading is one of my favorite pastimes–especially during the winter. Last Christmas my sister in law gave me this book. I was super excited but for some reason I only got halfway. Over the break I loved cuddling up on the couch with this book and finding myself inspired.
