Rocking My Boyfriends
With the season's high temps I've hardly been able to wear pants this summer. But because sometimes you can't say no to jeans, I opted for a sleek pair of boyfriends to take a stroll in downtown Brooklyn.
I don't know about you but New York has been pretty steamy. I have tan marks on my feet from my sandals just from walking from my apartment-subway-subway-work and vise versa. And waiting for the train at some stations is almost like being in a sauna. So I've been living in light fabrics and dresses to keep me cool. But this time I decided to dress against the weather because why not. I know I've been guilty of disregarding the cold when I refused to wear tights in freezing weather (never again!), but summer's a little easier to work with.
I love these boyfriend jeans for their comfort and style. I'm really into cropped pants at the moment and these fit me just right. To balance my summer look I paired them with a cropped sleeveless top and I added a colorful detail with my mom's vintage belt. I wore a pair of color-blocked booties, which you can never go wrong with. And because I have a slight choker obsession I felt like it was just the perfect minimal piece of jewelry I needed to complete the look. Happy summer!
